Hi guyssss
Yes I know the week's mail is coming on a Friday (which is not normal) but guess what?
Today makes it a year since I started posting on Substack. And to celebrate it, I'll be sharing the story of how I decided to start.
I have a few friends that we exchange mails often. I love reading mails.
With time, the number grew and I had to manually send each of them a mail.
Now you might be thinking I started writing on Substack so that I can reach more people but NO.
Let me expose myself.
I initially started writing because I wanted to make money through it. I opened the account because I saw "paid subscribers". I thought by the time I passed a hundred subscribers, something would change. I passed a hundred subscribers and nothing changed.
Turns out it wasn't as I thought.
Eventually I got to like the idea of writing and sharing what I learn from the very things that happen to me. I realised I had so much to share and many people could learn from my experiences.
It also made me consistent with other areas of my life because I knew I must send a mail every week.
I even had to read more books than I ever did so that I increase my knowledge bank.
I got better at writing too.
Now I have over 50 articles here on substack and there are still more to come.
Here's a shout out to you dear reader for staying with me through the journey.
There were some weeks that I had to skip or write late.
There were weeks that I had to just write.
In all, thank you for staying.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for engaging.
I hope we get to do more together.
I hope you're able to implement the ideas in your mind too.
It's okay to figure stuffs out even after you've started.
Keep getting better at your craft.
Till next time,
~Flourish
